I have taught for Granite School District for 18 years. I started as a teacher in preschool and taught there for two years. I have taught kindergarten for eight years, third grade for one year, and first grade for six years. Six years ago, I received my Master's Degree in Education from Westminster College. I received my ELL Endorsement from Weber State College in 2011. I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah in 2007. Three years ago I received my Technology Endorsement form Weber State College. I am a wife and a mother. I have been married to Christopher Hurzeler for thirty-one years. He also teaches for Granite School District and we have three grown children. Our son, who is the oldest is married and is attending college to become a biology engineer . Our oldest daughter teaches kindergarten for Granite School District . Our youngest daughter is studying English at Weber State College and would like to become a teacher. She will do her student teaching in the spring.
I really enjoy creating and planning multi-media lessons for my students. In my spare time I enjoy reading non-fiction books, gardening, hiking with my daughters, playing games with my family, and doing home fix-up projects with my husband. |
